The 2nd International meat and sausage festival took place on 9th of May, which was attended by outworkers and entrepreneurs who produce meat products. A jury evaluated the quality of sausages, meat products and smoked products.
LLC “Kunturi” received the audience’s sympathy prize in entrepreneur’s class, but LLC “Alias” in outworker’s class. The winners for the most delicious sausage for general public were LLC “Kunturi” in entrepreneur’s class and LLC “Priekuļu gardumi” in outworker’s class. The winners for the most delicious smoked product for general public were LLC “Servilat” and LLC “Pļaviņu delikateses”. The winners for the most delicious sausage in delicacy nomination were LLC “Servilat” in entrepreneur’s class and LLC “Alias product” in outworker’s class. The winners for the most delicious smoked product in delicacy nomination were LLC “Kalnrugele” from Lithuania in entrepreneur’s class and Inese Matisāne in outworker’s class.
The event organizer Sniedz Ragže acknowledged that in this year the offer was also varied: “This year's novelty was dried meat products, and we expect something interesting next year again.”
