The 37th Cimze music days will take place from the 6th till 9th of April.
Valka Municipality Council and Valka J. Cimze Music School, during the Music days – 7th and 8th of April, will organize an International Jānis Cimze Young talent festival. On the first day of the festival participant’s concerts will be held in the city, on the second day of the festival the young talents will delight everyone with their concerts in Latvian and Estonia. Professional artists will perform on festival's final concert. The main prize of the festival will be 100 euros. Viewers’ sympathy prize – 50 euros.

Valka Municipality Council and Valka J. Cimze Music School, during the 37th Cimze Music days on 6th of April, 2016, invites all music schools teachers to “Vidzeme music school teachers' seminar”. Participants will receive a certificate that they have improved their professional qualification. Theme "Positive practices in teaching music" (Different age group peculiarities in the educational process: perception, learning, readiness to appear in front of the audience, success and failure). On 9th of April the Cimze Music days will conclude with the Music School’s 70-year anniversary dub concert with the participation of teachers, present and former students of the school. In turn, the final Jubilee concert/ alumni get-together will take place on 8th of October, 2016, after the school reconstruction.
