Different Types of Music in the Festival
The Melodic Music Festival - "The Train Riga - Valka" is being held for the first time on the open-air stage in Valka on 2nd August.
Everyone, from near and far, is invited, as well as the guests, who can get a great opportunity to know the Latvian music in its diversity.
In the Festival you will hear different types of music – jazz, Pop, rock and Schlager music, each of you will find something to suit your taste. The favourite groups in Latvia, such as „Bumerangs”, „Bruģis”, “Mākoņstūmēji”, „Big Al & The Jokers”, “Trīs tenori”, “Ateljē” and other bands will take care of it. The band "Bumerangs" again is playing in full staff as they played in the beginning, because Edmunds Mednis is arriving especially for this event from the United States.
The event is led by the singing actors group from the Valmiera Drama Theatre "Žerāri" (Gerards).
"There are no bad genres or styles. In each style of music can been heard both the good and the very low level. Creating the Melodic Music Festival, I wanted to put in one concert the musicians representing a variety of genres, but who are united by professionalism, expressed melody and live music. I also wanted to give the opportunity for new bands to play on the "big stage", as well as to celebrate together with friends the 28th anniversary of the band "Bumerangs".
The ball-concert will be formed so that anyone - young or old, those who just like to listen to or those who want to dance - can find something pleasant for themselves." told the idea author of this music festival and the band "Bumerangs" leader Vents Armands Krauklis.
If you want to buy the tickets in advance, you can do it at "Biļešu serviss" sales points or in the Internet www.bilesuserviss.lv and in the culture centre of Valka every weekday from 12 pm to 8 pm. Buying tickets in advance, it costs 5€ for adults, 3€ for seniors and students under 18. The price of family (2 adults and 2-5 children) ticket is 10€. The entrance for preschool children is free. The ticket in the event day costs 6€ for adults, 3€ for seniors and students under 18, 12€ for family.
