The Melodic Music Festival is being held for the first time on the open-air stage in Valka on 2nd August. If you want to buy the tickets in advance, you can do it at "Biļešu serviss" sales points or in the Internet www.bilesuserviss.lv and in the culture center of Valka every weekday from 12 pm to 8 pm. The prices of tickets are very democratic: till 1st July ticket costs only 3€ for adults, after 1st  July the price of ticket is 5€ for adults, 3€ for seniors and students under 18. The price of family (2 adults and 2-5 children) ticket is 10€. The entrance for preschool children is free. The ticket in the event day costs 6€ for adults, 3€ for seniors and students under 18, 12€ for family. Currently, it is known, that some of the most popular bands, such as "Bumerangs”, "Bruģis”, “Mākoņstūmēji”, "Big Al and The Jockers", "Trīs tenori" and others, are taking part in this festival. The band "Bumerangs" again is playing in full staff as they played in the beginnings, because Edmunds Mednis is arriving especially for this event from the United States. The event is led by the singing actors group from the Valmiera Drama Theatre. The organizers highlight, that during the evening event the music will be "live performance". The local government hopes that the event will become into a nice tradition in the region and attract more and more participants and visitors every year.
